Screen Time Settings

If your kids have been using Safari or other browsers on their devices then there are some settings that need to be checked and possibly adjusted so that Bumpers will work properly. Please follow the instructions below to get your kid's devices setup properly.

You need to follow these instructions for Bumpers to work properly on your kid's device.

Age Restrictions

To install the Bumpers Browser app on your kid's devices you need to allow apps for ages 18+. Apple requires this rating because any app that allows web browsing must be rated as 18+, even though you'll have full control over what your kids can see.


  1. Open the Settings ⚙ in your iPhone
  2. Tap on Screen Time
  3. Select a Child
  4. Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions
  5. Tap on Content Restrictions
  6. Tap on Apps
  7. Select Allow All ✔

Content Restrictions

Some content may not be viewable because of restrictions in your Family Screen Time settings on your iPhone.


  1. Open the Settings ⚙ in your iPhone
  2. Tap on Screen Time
  3. Select a Child
  4. Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions
  5. Tap on Content Restrictions
  6. Tap on Web Content
  7. Select Unrestricted ✔
