Using the Parent Score
The Parent Score system is a unique feature of the Bumpers app.
Whenever you tap on a video or website to see a detailed view, you'll see the Parent Score displayed right under the preview of the Bumpers Parental Controls app.
The Parent Score is not a content rating system, or a suggestion from Bumpers. However it is a very helpful tool that gives you data based on what percentage of other parents approve content for their kids within an age range.
Here's how it works:
In the example above, you can see that most parents with children up to 11 years old approve this video for their kids, while fewer parents have approved this video for their older kids.
This data helps to give you insights at a glance of videos, YouTube channels, and websites that have been approved by other parents using the Bumpers app.
The Parent Score system is designed to equip parents to save time while making informed decisions about which content is appropriate for their kids.
While other parents may approve a video or website for their child, ultimately the decision of what your child views is entirely up to you, the parent. We just do our best to provide you with the information to confidently make informed decisions for your family.
